NOTRE DAME, IN – The Wright State men's cross country team turned in a 17th-place team finish and had three finishers inside the Top 75 on Friday afternoon at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational that featured deep field of 150 participants.
Wright State competed in the Men's Gold Division 8K race, one of six total races as part of the Joe Piane Invitational, with a combined 45 women's teams and 38 men's teams from across the country taking part in the six races.
The Raiders were paced by
Blake Rodgers time of 25:21 for 63rd place in the 8K race, followed closely
Patrick Statzer in 66th with a 25:24 mark.
Ethan Neblock (67th) was stride-for-stride with Statzer, grabbing a 25:25 time of his own, with
Evan McPherson (89th, 25:43) and
Andrew Bugner (96th, 25:48) finishing up the top five Raider grouping.
Kalib Tolle (117) turned in a 26:08 mark, followed by
Michael Gale (112) at 26:16,
Jacob Craig (132) at 26:37 and
Preston Jackson (133) with a 26:37 time rounding out the Raider runners.
The complete Wright State rosters will next be in action again Friday, October 11 when the Raiders race in the Ray Bullock Invitational hosted by Taylor University.
