SPRINGFIELD, OH – The Wright State track & field squads opened their 2024-25 indoor schedule with a successful Saturday at the Tiger Opener, tallying wins in seven events while breaking seven school records.
Additionally, Wright State tallied 16 Top 10 program performances and 19 different Raiders recorded new personal best times.

Jude Elkins finished atop a pair of events while setting two new school records, capturing the men's 60 meter hurdles with his 8.12 second time before adding the top time in the men's 200 meter dash with a 22.23 mark.
Jacob Holbert set a new Raider record in the men's long jump, winning the event on Saturday with his mark of 6.58m.
Oliver Murray captured the men's pole vault title with his 4.58m clearance, the new best in Wright State history, while
Andrew Bugner set a new Raider record with his time of 1:57.97 in the men's 800 meter run, finishing fifth overall just seconds off the pace.
On the women's side,
Cierra Lively rewrote the women's high jump record again, this time with her 1.70m clearance to finish tied for the top spot, while
Hannah Falknor's time of 7.63 in the women's 60 meter dash prelims was also a school record.
Outside of the records, Wright State captured 13 of the top 14 finishers in the men's mile run, with
Ethan Neblock (4:21.78) leading the Raider pack, while Falknor also took home the top spot in the women's 300 meter dash with her 41.85 mark.
