TERRE HAUTE, IN – The Wright State men's cross country team turned in a sixth-place team finish and had six finishers inside the Top 200 on Saturday morning at the John McNichols Invitational that featured deep field of 480 participants.
Wright State saw six Raiders finish within 64 seconds of each other, paced by
Evan McPherson's time of 25:34 for 74th place in the 8K race, followed closely
Preston Jackson in 111th with a 25:52 mark and Black Rodgers (134th) at 26:02.
Andrew Bugner (139th) was stride-for-stride with Rodgers, grabbing a 26:04 time of his own, with
Patrick Statzer (171, 26:17) and
Ethan Neblock (194, 26:30) finishing up the Raider grouping.
Kalib Tolle (211) turned in a 26:37 mark, followed by
Michael Gale (233) at 26:49 and
Ben Schrumpf (258) with a 26:57 time, with
Curtis Fowler's (423) 29:41 time rounding out the Raider runners.
The complete Wright State rosters will next be in action again Friday, October 4 when the Raiders race in the Joe Piane Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.
