
Women’s Basketball Closes Out 2025 at the Nutter Center Tuesday Night

DAYTON- The Wright State women's basketball team (5-9, 1-2 HL) will close out 2025 at the Nutter Center on Tuesday, December 30, against Green Bay. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., and fans are encouraged to bring an unwanted gift to the marketing table to swap out for a different gift or a Raider prize.

SCOUTING THE PHOENIX
Green Bay enters Tuesday at 8-5 on the season and is 3-0 in the Horizon League. The Phoenix have been inside the top 10 of the CollegeInsider mid-major Women's Basketball poll all season long. Green Bay currently ranks.
Redshirt-Sophomore Meghan Schultz has had a breakout season, and leads the Phoenix, scoring 13.8 points and is second in rebounds at 5 per game. Kamy Peppler runs the Green Bay offense and is averaging 7.5 points, a Horizon League-high 5 assists, and 4.1 rebounds. Maddy Skorupski is third on the team in points per game at 9.2 and second in assists per game, averaging 3.7. Skorupski leads the Phoenix with 1.5 steals and is second in rebounds at 5.2 per game.
HISTORY VS. GREEN BAY
Tuesday night's game will mark the 83rd all-time meeting between Wright State and Green Bay, a series in which the Phoenix hold a dominant 75-7 advantage. Green Bay has won the last 12 meetings in the series, with Wright State's last win coming on December 30, 2019.

The Raiders fell on the road to #12 Kentucky on December 19, losing 53-96.
All 12 available Raiders saw action on the court, with eight finding their way onto the scoresheet, led by Claire Henson and Abbie Riddle with 10. Henson also led the Raiders with eight rebounds.

Three other Wildcats finished with double-digit points, with Kaelyn Carroll and Tonie Morgan finishing with 18 points and Asia Boone with 17 points.
In the box score, the Raiders trailed the Wildcats in rebounds (33-43), second chance points (5-19), and bench points (17-28). The Wildcats outshot the Raiders, shooting 44.6% from the floor, 38.5% from beyond the arc, and 83.3% from the free-throw line.

Senior guard Breezie Williams has made an immediate impact for the Raiders, averaging 11.1 points, 2.4 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game across her first 14 games in a Raider uniform. The Canton, Ohio, native is shooting 37.9% from the floor 30.8% from three-point range. The senior is also getting it done on the defensive end of the floor, averaging 2.1 steals per game. Williams is 14th in the Horizon League in points per game (11.1) and tied for fourth in steals per game (2.1). The Bryant transfer had a breakout performance on the road at Tennessee State, dropping a new career-high 27 points with three assists, three rebounds, and two blocks. She followed up her career night in Nashville with a 20-point performance against Wilberforce in just 14 minutes of action. Williams also finished one rebound and one steal short of a triple-double at Florida Atlantic, finishing with a career-high nine steals and a season-high nine rebounds.
RYLEE FROM RANGE
Redshirt sophomore guard Rylee Sagester is not only one of the best three-point shooters in the Horizon League but is one of the best in the country. The Alexandria, Ohio native is shooting a stellar 43.8% from beyond the arc, which is a team and league best. Nationally, Sagester is tied for 55th in three-pointers made with 32 and is 115th in three-pointers per game with 2.3. Sagester's 32 three-pointers sit her atop the Horizon League standings above Purdue Fort Wayne's Alana Nelson. Sagester has made more than one three-pointer in 10 of the Raiders' 14 games, highlighted by a pair of games with five made threes against Wilberforce and Bellarmine.

Claire Henson has been active in the paint for the Raiders, snagging 105 rebounds so far this season. Henson is third in the Horizon League with 7.5 rebounds per game.
