Raiders return home for Sunday Horizon League matchup

DAYTON - The Wright State men's basketball team returns home to the Nutter Center on Sunday afternoon as the Raiders welcome Green Bay to town for the Horizon League home opener. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m., and fans can follow the action several ways - watching on ESPN+, via live stats or by tuning in to the Wright State Radio Network - 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' and WING 1410 AM. Chris Collins and Jim Brown will have all the play-by-play on the radio and television feeds.
Fans can tune into 101.5 FM 'The Fridge' or WING 1410 AM live over the air in the Dayton metro area, as well stream the station live nationwide through a variety of free streaming apps. A back-and-forth battle that saw four Raiders finish with double digit scoring nights came up just short for Wright State, who fell 69-68 at Youngstown State in the Horizon League opener for both teams on Wednesday night. Michael Imariagbe finished with 15 points to lead Wright State, who also saw TJ Burch tie his career-high with 14 points as he added three rebounds, three assists and two steals. Sam Alamutu turned in 13 points and seven rebounds off the bench, both season-highs for him, while Andrea Holden finished with a complete stat line of 11 points, five blocks, four steals, four rebounds and two assists.
SPECIAL SUNDAY
Wright State will honor its 1975-76 team as part of Sunday's action, celebrating 50 years since that group went 20-8 with a perfect 14-0 home record on the way to making in the program's first NCAA appearance, playing in the NCAA Division II Regional in Evansville, Indiana and tallying a win in the process.
FACING THE PHOENIX
Wright State has won 15 of the last 20 meetings overall in the series against Green Bay. The first meeting in the series came back on December 7, 1987, a Green Bay victory in the Raiders' first year as a Division I program. A tight series throughout history, Wright State has a slim, 40-35 overall series lead.

- Green Bay enters Sunday with a 4-6 record after dropping its Horizon League opener at home by two to Robert Morris.

Wright State's three three-pointers at Youngstown State on Dec. 3 were its fewest made three-pointers since connecting on four in a loss at Purdue Fort Wayne in Feb. 2025. The last time the Raiders made less than three triples was back on Dec. 19, 2023 when they hit two three-pointers in a 93-83 home win over Miami (OH).
HOLDEN IT DOWN
Andrea Holden has tallied double-digit scoring efforts in four of his last five games entering Sunday, including 11 points on Dec. 3 at Youngstown State in is first start of the year. The stretch also includes a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double against Kent State at the Greenbrier Tip-off on Nov. 16 and a career-high 16 points at home over Ohio Wesleyan on Nov. 20, as well as a 10-point, six-rebound effort on Nov. 25 at Stetson. Holden turned in a career effort at Youngstown State, with his five blocks, two assists and 27 minutes of action all personal bests for him, while he tallied four steals for the second time in his career, joining a four steal game against Youngstown State from Jan. 2025.
BURCH BUCKETS
TJ Burch tied a career-high with 14 points in the loss at Youngstown State on Dec. 3, one game after tallying 13 points at Butler on Nov. 28. In the last two games, Burch is 15-of-28 shooting on the way to the 27 points, adding eight assists and five steals as he played 28- and 29-plus minutes in the two contests.

Sam Alamutu turned in his best game as a Raider on Dec. 3 at Youngstown State, finishing with 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting with seven rebounds in 26 minutes of action, all season high efforts.
