Raiders wrap up action in North Carolina

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Wright State golf team concluded action at the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Tuesday, moving up one spot in the final team standings to finish 10th while Shane Ochs finished 23rd to pace the group on the individual leaderboard.

Wright State carded a final round 294 on Tuesday to finish the tournament at 33-over, while tournament host UNC Wilmington finished as the lone team under par at 15-under on the way to the team title and Florida Atlantic's Nashawn Tyson was the individual champion at 16-under.

Ochs notched a one-over 72 in his final round Tuesday, finishing with a pair of birdies and three bogeys to finish 23rd with his four-over final score while moving two spots up the final leaderboard after his two Monday rounds. Andrew Flynn moved up eight spots to finish in a tie for 41st at eight-over for the tournament after turning in his own one-over 72 final round with four birdies and five bogeys.

Brock Rumpke carded a final round three-over 74 to finish action at 11-over overall in a tie for 56th, collecting a trio of birdies on Tuesday. Adam Horn was six-over with a final round 77 as he finished 13-over in a tie for 64th and Ali Berker finished a shot back at 14-over overall in 68th after his final round five-over 76.

Wright State is back in action with The Jewell from April 7-9 in Batavia before the Raiders host the Wright State Invitational at Heatherwoode Golf Club April 13-14. The Horizon League Championship takes place April 19-21 in Florida.
