Howey in the Hills, FL- Wright State closed strong on Monday's back nine, securing the program's ninth Horizon League crown and back-to-back Horizon League Championship titles.
The Raiders blitzed the back nine, playing the home stretch at a collective eight-under par and pulled away from IU Indy and Cleveland State to win by 11 strokes over the second-place Jaguars.
Shane Ochs paced three Raiders who went under par on Monday, shooting a three-under 69, tying him for low round of the tournament. He carded four birdies against one bogey and finished second overall in the individual championship.
Timmy Hollenback earned a fourth-place finish after a closing round one-under 71. Hollenback was excellent on the back nine, carding three of his four birdies on the day, including one on the 54
th hole.
Brock Rumpke had six birdies on the day, leading to a one-under 71 and an 11
th place finish in the championship.
Adam Horn made it four Raiders in the top 15 after his 76 on Monday put him in 14
th place. Horn's two birdies came on the back nine, helping the Raiders pull away from their Horizon League counterparts.
Andrew Flynn carded an 80 on Monday has he finished the tournament in 35
th.
The title is the fourth in six seasons for the Raiders, who now await their destination for the NCAA regional. The NCAA Men's Golf selection show is slated for Wednesday, April 30th at 1 p.m. ET and will air on the Golf Channel.
