DAYTON – Following a pregame graduation and Senior Day celebration, the Wright State baseball team put together a late-game rally to defeat Northern Kentucky, 4-1.
 
The Raiders will wrap up the regular season on the road, beginning with a Tuesday, May 13 matchup at Kent State. They will then head to Purdue Fort Wayne for a three-game series starting Thursday, May 15.
 
The game was tied 1-1 after the first inning, as the Norse scored their only run on an RBI single in the top half. WSU responded in the bottom of the frame, with Hunter Warren singling down the left-field line, advancing to third on a Patrick Fultz double, and scoring on a Gus Gregory groundout.
 
The game remained scoreless through six innings before the Raiders took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. Warren drew a walk to bring up Gregory, who launched a two-run homer 390 feet over the right-field wall. Boston Smith extended the lead to 4-1 with a solo shot to right center.
 
Wright State is now 32-16 overall and 23-4 in Horizon League play. Warren Hartzell earned the win after tossing 3.0 scoreless innings.
