DAYTON — The Wright State cross country teams and head coach Rick Williamson released its schedule for the 2025 season on Wednesday. The Raiders will race in seven regular season meets, including two at home, before the 2025 Horizon League Cross Country Championship and NCAA Regional meets in November.
 
Wright State's two regular season home meets, to begin and end the regular season, will be held at Fairborn Community Park.
 
The Raiders open their 2025 campaigns on September 5 at home in the Mike Baumer Cross Country Classic. Wright State will then continue September at the Ruble In the Fort (September 20), hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne, to get a first look at the Horizon League Championship course. Wright State will have contingents competing in four October meets, splitting up to race at the Notre Dame-hosted Joe Piane Invitational (October 3, men) and Live in Lou Classic (October 4, women) before the Raiders run in a pair of meets on October 17 – the Bradley Pink Classic (men) and the Falcon Invitational (women).
 
The Raiders close out the regular season hosting the Wild Bill Invite on October 24 for its second home meet of the year before traveling to the Horizon League Championship, hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne, on November 1. The Raiders conclude the season at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on November 14 in Evansville, Indiana. 
 
A season ago at the Horizon League Championship, the Wright State men finished eighth and the Raider women finished 11th overall. Emma Johnson earned second team All-Horizon League honors with her 12th-place finish in the women's 6K championship with a time of 22:07.5, while Patrick Statzer led the Raiders in the men's 8K race, finishing 27th with a time of 25:43.6. The Raiders concluded the season at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, with the Raider men finishing 27th and the Wright State women finishing 30th.
