Golfers ready for action in coastal Georgia

DAYTON – The Wright State golf team returns to the course for three days of action at The Peoples Championship at Sea Palms Resort, with action getting underway on Thursday morning.

The three-round, 54-hole event will be played over three days, March 12-14, with 18 holes per day beginning Thursday morning at Sea Palms Resort, the par-71, 6,664-yard coastal Georgia venue at St. Simons Island.

Joining Wright State (#205) in the 20-team field are: Belmont (#224), Charleston Southern (#222), Davidson (#268), Drexel (#179), Florida A&M (#214), Long Island (#195), Marshall (#249), Mount St. Mary's (#275), Murray State (#213), Providence (#267), Samford (#198), Siena (#233), Tennessee Tech (#185), UT-Martin (#172), Valparaiso (#268), Villanova (#212), Winthrop (#188), Xavier (#98) and tournament host Western Carolina (#135).

Wright State finished tied for sixth as a group at this event, with Adam Horn and former Raider Brock Rumpke leading the individually as both finished tied for 16th.
