FRANKLIN, WI- The Wright State baseball team dropped the series opener of its three-game set at Milwaukee Friday, falling to the Panthers 10-7.

Wright State (18-20, 11-2 HL) will be back in action Saturday afternoon against the Panthers for game two of its weekend series in Wisconsin. First pitch at Franklin Field is slated for 3 p.m.

Milwaukee jumped all over Wright State early, scoring four runs in the first, two in the third, and one in the fourth to jump out to an early 7-0 advantage.

Hunter Warren would get the Raiders on the board in the top of the fifth, launching a two-run homer over the wall in left-center field. The homer is Warren's seventh of the season, tying him with JP Peltier and Patrick Fultz for the team lead.

Two more Raider runs would come in to score in the sixth. Cy Turner would come in to score on a throwing error by the Panthers' third baseman, and Zac Butler would drive home Braylen Blomquist on a sacrifice fly to center field.

Cam Gilkerson would tie the game up at seven runs apiece in the top of the eighth, launching a no-doubt three-run homer over the wall in right field. The homer is Gilkerson's third of the season.

Milwaukee would answer right back with three runs of their own in the bottom of the eighth to take a 10-7 advantage before sitting the Raiders down in order in the top of the ninth to secure the series opening win.
