Box Score Jessica Woods posted her fourth straight double-double as she recorded 19 kills and tied a career best with 21 digs, but it wasn't enough as the Wright State volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Austin Peay at the IUPUI Hampton Inn Invitational Saturday morning by the scores of 20-25, 25-21, 17-25, 28-30.
WSU led 9-5 early in the opening set before Austin Peay scored five straight points to go up 10-9.  The Raiders went back in front 11-10 on an Ashley Heyman kill, only to see the Governors go on another 5-0 run to regain the lead for good.
Wright State, though, tied the match at 1-1 with a win in the second set.  Down 12-11, the Raiders scored seven straight,  including a pair of kills from Shaunda Sandifer, and Austin Peay would get no closer than three the rest of the way.
Austin Peay led the entire way in taking the third set and the fourth set was tied 15 times before Austin Peay won the match by scoring the final two points.
Wright State held the edge in kills (57-49), but Austin Peay (4-1) outhit the Raiders .212-.206 and recorded nine service aces to just two for WSU.
Woods paced the Raiders with a double-double of 19 kills and 21 digs, her fourth double-double in as many matches this season.  The 21 digs tied a career high for the senior outside hitter as she also had 21 against Eastern Michigan on September 4, 2007.
Sandifer had 11 kills for WSU while Molly Dolson added 45 assists, eight digs and five kills and Kenzie Egan had 15 digs.
Wright State (1-3) returns to action Saturday at 4:30 against Western Michigan.
