Box Score The Wright State volleyball team dropped a three-set Horizon League decision to Cleveland State Saturday at the C.J. McLin Gymnasium.  The Vikings won the match 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.
WSU led 4-2 early in the opening set before CSU tallied four straight points.  The Raiders trailed just 15-12 following an Alaina McAuley kill, only to see the Vikings go on a 10-3 run the rest of the way.
Cleveland State then jumped out to a 6-0 lead in leading the entire way in the second set and was up 15-9 in the third before Wright State scored seven in a row, three of those coming on a pair of service aces and a kill by Heidi Splinter, to take a 16-15 advantage.
The Vikings, though, answered with five straight of their own to go back in front for good.
CSU finished with a 41-30 kill advantage and outhit WSU .378-.122.
Both McAuley and Splinter recorded 12 kills for the Raiders while Jessica Levy had nine digs and Ashleigh Lucco 25 assists.
Marie Frease paced Cleveland State (9-4, 1-1 Horizon) with 13 kills in hitting .550 for the match while Kara Koch had 12 kills, Amy Grabiec 12 digs and Jordan Goad 32 assists.
Wright State (2-10, 1-1 Horizon) hits the road for two matches next week, taking on Xavier on Tuesday, September 20, at 7:00 followed by Milwaukee on Saturday, September 24, at 5:00 Eastern.
