Box Score The Wright State volleyball team fell in three sets to Central Michigan Saturday at the Golden Grizzly Invitational in Rochester, Michigan.  The Chippewas won the match 25-14, 25-13, 25-21.
Five straight points broke a 2-2 tie in the opening set and gave CMU the lead for good and the Chippewas jumped out to a 12-1 lead to start the second set.  
Three consecutive points, including kills from Mariah Nussbaum and Ashley Langjahr, put the Raiders up 3-1 in the final set and WSU led 11-10 following another Langjahr kill, but Central Michigan responded with a 4-1 burst to regain the advantage.  Wright State closed the margin to two on five different occasions down the stretch, but could get no closer.
The Chippewas (2-3) led 38-22 in kills and .273-.011 in hitting percentage.
Alaina McAuley paced the Raiders with seven kills while Heidi Splinter had 10 digs and Ashleigh Lucco 19 assists.
Wright State (0-5) wraps up play in the tournament Saturday night at 7:00 as the Raiders take on host Oakland.
