Box Score The Wright State volleyball team dropped a three-set decision to Cleveland State Saturday night at the C.J. McLin Gymnasium.  The Vikings won the match 25-17, 25-19, 25-20.
Cleveland State had the lead throughout the opening set, but the Raiders only trailed 11-8 before the Vikings broke it open with a 5-0 run.  WSU led 17-14 in the second set following a CSU attack error, but Cleveland State followed with another 5-0 burst to take the lead for good and had yet another streak of five straight to close out the set.
A Heidi Splinter kill tied the third set at 12-12, only to see the Vikings regain the lead with three unanswered and hold on down the stretch.
CSU outhit WSU .339-.189 in finishing with a 52-33 kill advantage.
Splinter paced the Raiders with a double-double of 12 kills and 11 digs, giving her 11 double-doubles on the season.  Libero Katie Glassmeyer had 13 digs while setter Ashleigh Lucco recorded 23 assists.
Wright State (2-20, 0-5 Horizon) heads to Wisconsin next weekend for a pair of matches, facing Milwaukee on Friday, October 12, at 8:00 Eastern and Green Bay on Saturday, October 13, at 5:00 Dayton time.
