WSU gradually pulled away in the first set in .300 and then hit .293 in the second as the Raiders started the set with a 5-1 run and led throughout.  A 7-1 burst in the third set, one that included three kills and a service ace by Heidi Splinter, broke a 3-3 tie as Wright State cruised to the win.

Splinter posted her second double-double of the season as she had 17 kills in hitting .432 with 14 digs.  Stephanie Ruffing had 10 kills while Emily Meng had 42 assists and Miranda Puthoff 13 digs.

In the first match of the day, the Raiders won the opening set, only to see Boston College take the next three as the Eagles won 22-25, 26-24, 25-20, 25-17.

Wright State came out strong in the first set, scoring nine straight points after Boston College tallied the first point of the match.  Three of those points came on service aces by Ruffing while Marisa Aiello had two blocks.

The Eagles rallied back to tie the score on three different occasions, but a service error and a Meng ace put WSU ahead 22-20.  A Ruffing kill along with an attack error and another serving error wrapped up the set.

The Raiders then looked to be in good shape in the second set as a Boston College service errror made it 24-23, only to see the Eagles take the set on three straight Katty Workman kills.

Boston College won the third set by scoring the final five points to break a 20-20 tie and the Eagles closed out the match with a 9-3 run in the fourth set.

WSU had 45 kills and hit .209 for the match compared to 58 kills and .306 for Boston College.
