Box Score The Wright State volleyball team dropped its Horizon League opener Friday at Cleveland State, falling to the Vikings 25-14, 25-18, 25-18.
CSU gradually broke away in the opening set as the Vikings hit .323 while holding the Raiders to a .081 hitting percentage.  Wright State led 8-7 in the second set and only trailed 18-16 before Cleveland State scored seven of the final nine points.
The Vikings then led most of the way in the final set as they outhit WSU for the match .252-.034 and had a 38-27 kill advantage.
Katie Klusman paced the Raiders with eight kills while Maddie Lohmeier posted a double-double of 24 assists and 10 digs.  Jessie Thornton added 14 digs.
Wright State (3-12, 0-1 Horizon) is at Youngstown State Saturday at 4:00.
