Box Score For the second time on Saturday, the Wright State volleyball team dropped a tough five-set decision, this time to Bowling Green in the final match of the Flyer-Raider Invitational at the C.J. McLin Gymnasium.  The Falcons won the match 25-18, 21-25, 21-25, 25-18, 15-9.
BGSU hit .486 (20/2/37) in winning the first set, but it was Wright State that came out strong in the second and third sets as the Raiders combined to hit .305 (32/7/82) in the two sets.
The Falcons, however, used a 5-0 run to break away from an 11-9 lead in the fourth set and then used a 5-1 burst in the final set to take control at 10-5.
Bowling Green led 71-55 in kills and outhit WSU .258-.198 for the match.
Katie Klusman, who had 17 kills earlier in the day against Dayton, had another strong match with 16 kills while Ashley Langjahr had 14.  Libero Jessie Thornton, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, had 31 digs with Katie Glassmeyer adding 19 and Miranda Puthoff 14.  Setter Maddie Lohmeier had 47 assists.
Wright State (2-5) hits the road for the next 10 matches, starting on Tuesday with a visit to Eastern Kentucky at 7:00.
