Box Score The Wright State men's basketball team came just three shy of tying a school record for fewest points given up in a game as the Raiders rolled to an 85-34 victory over Urbana Tuesday night at the Wright State Nutter Center.

The Blue Knights led 10-8 early before WSU took control of the contest with a 28-2 run over a 10-minute span, eight of those coming from Mike La Tulip and seven by Justin Mitchell. A Mitchell layup at the 1:57 mark made it 41-14 before the Raiders went into the break up 43-17.
Wright State shot 48 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes and connected on 15 of 19 free throws while Urbana shot 24 percent and was just one of two at the stripe.
The Raiders gradually built on the margin the rest of the way, with the biggest lead being 80-27 following a Trey Stacey three with 4:20 remaining.
The 34 points are the second-fewest ever given up by WSU in a game, eclipsing the 35 allowed against Toledo on December 9, 2008. The school record is 31 against UIC later that season on January 24, 2009.
After shooting 48 percent in the first half, Wright State improved to 54 percent in the second half to finish at 51 percent overall while the Blue Knights ended the game at 21 percent. The Raiders were 21 of 26 at the foul line and led in points in the paint (32-12), points off of turnovers (25-8) and second-chance points (17-8).
Steven Davis led the way by tying a career-high with 26 points while Mitchell added a career-best 21 to go with six assists. La Tulip chipped in 16 points along with a season-high eight rebounds.
Wright State (7-4) now hits the road for four straight games, starting on Sunday, December 18, with a 4:00 game at Kent State.
