The Wright State baseball team completed a four-game series sweep at Elon Sunday, scoring four times in the fourth and seventh en route to an 11-2 win.

The Raiders scored in the first inning in each of the first three games of the series and Sunday was no different as WSU tallied two. With one out, Sean Murphy smacked a solo home run to center, his second of the season, and after Mitch Roman followed with a single and stole second and third, Gabe Snyder drove him in with a sacrifice fly.

WSU extended the lead to 6-1 in the fourth as Adrian Marquez was hit by a pitch and Murphy walked with the bases loaded to force in two runs and Ryan Fucci had a two-run single to center.

Wright State tacked on four more in the seventh to go up 10-2. Triples by JD Orr and Marquez produced the first run and RBI hits from Matt Morrow and Roman resulted in two more. The final run came in on an error.

Peyton Burdick then tripled in Brad Macciocchi, who walked to start off the eighth, for the final run of the game.

Mark Meyer (2-0) picked up his second win in relief in the series, pitching three scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Meyer, along with Jacob Burk and Logan Blair, shutout the Phoenix over the final five innings.

Murphy, Fucci and Marquez each drove in two for the Raiders while Murphy, Orr and Marquez each scored twice.

Wright State (4-0) heads back to North Carolina next weekend for a three-game set at North Carolina State, facing the Wolfpack for single games on Friday (3:00), Saturday (3:00) and Sunday (1:00).
