Baseball Drops 11-6 Decision at High Point

The Wright State baseball team dropped an 11-6 decision at High Point Wednesday afternoon.
Trailing 3-0 early, the Raiders tied it with three in the top of the third as Gabe Snyder hit a two-run double down the right field line and John Brodner plated Ryan Fucci with a squeeze bunt.
The Panthers, though, quickly regained the lead at 8-3 with five runs in their half of the third. High Point then picked up a run in the seventh and two in the eighth to round out its scoring.
Fucci drove in a run in the seventh as he singled in Brad Macciocchi, who doubled, and WSU tallied a pair of runs in the ninth as Adrian Marquez and Daniel Arthur both walked with the bases loaded.
Fucci led the Raiders with four hits while JD Orr and Snyder each had two.
Wright State (5-4) begins a three-game series Friday at Georgia, with the first pitch set for 3:00.
