Wright State volleyball continues conference play at home in C.J. McLin Gymnasium this weekend as they take on Cleveland State on Friday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. and Oakland on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m.  The Raiders defeated Cleveland State 3-1 earlier in the season at Cleveland State.  The Raiders also played at Oakland earlier in the season and fell to the Golden Grizzlies in three sets.  Saturday will be Senior Day.
Wright State
 
Wright State volleyball is currently 9-14 overall, and 3-7 in the Horizon League after falling to Northern Kentucky 3-1 last Friday, and falling to IUPUI in a five-set battle on Saturday.  The Raiders are currently in eighth place in the Horizon League standings. Offensively, freshman middle blocker 
Teddie Sauer led the Raiders over the weekend in kills with 26 kills posting a season high 18 kills against IUPUI for a solid .233 hitting percentage.  Sauer also recorded a season high of two service aces in the five-set battle between the Raiders and the Jaguars. Defensively, senior libero 
Jessie Thornton led the Raiders over the weekend with 53 digs, posting a season high 35 digs against IUPUI in a five-set thriller.  Thornton ties the single match records with her 35 digs, and ties her previous record of 35 digs that she recorded against UIC back in 2015.  Thornton leads the Horizon League with 456 digs for an average of 5.07 digs per set.
Cleveland State
 
Cleveland State volleyball is currently 14-7 overall, and 7-3 in the Horizon League after playing at home last weekend against UIC and Milwaukee.  The Vikings won both matches last weekend, placing them currently in second place in the Horizon League standings.  Offensively, Cleveland State's top hitter at the net is senior middle hitter, Alexis Middlebrooks.  The middle hitter averages 3.26 kills per set and is eighth in the Horizon League Conference individual leader standings for kills.  Middlebrooks also leads the Horizon League with her solid hitting percentage of .358 for the season.  In the back row senior defensive specialist, Shannon Grega, leads the Vikings averaging 4.56 digs per set which places her in second place amongst the conference individual leaders for digs.  Wright State will take on Cleveland State, whom their overall record against is 32-35, Friday evening at 6 p.m.
 
Oakland
 
Oakland volleyball is currently 12-10 overall, and 7-3 in the Horizon League after playing at home last week against Milwaukee and Green Bay.  The Golden Grizzlies lost their first match last Friday against Milwaukee in a five-set thriller, but turned around and beat Green Bay the next day 3-1.  Last week's split places them currently in third place in the Horizon League standings.  Offensively, Oakland's top hitter at the net is senior outside hitter, Darien Bandel.  The senior hitter averages 4.23 kills per set and is first in the Horizon League Conference individual leader standings for kills.  Defensively, Oakland's top blocker at the net is junior middle hitter, Krysteena Davis.  Davis leads the Golden Grizzlies averaging 1.54 blocks per set which places her in first place amongst the conference individual leaders for blocks.  In the back row senior defensive specialist, Darrin Rice, leads the Golden Grizzlies averaging 4.30 digs per set which places her seventh amongst the conference individual leaders for digs.  Wright State will take on Oakland, whom their overall record against is 8-10, Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.

The Raiders continue conference play next weekend on the road traveling to Chicago, IL to take on UIC on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. eastern, and also traveling to Green Bay, WI to take on Green Bay on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. eastern.
