The Wright State men's basketball team returns to the Nutter Center to host Toledo Wednesday night at 7 pm.  Fans can watch the game on ESPN+ or listen to Big 106.5 FM or the iHeart app with Chris Collins and Jim Brown.

Wright State
The Raiders, 1-1, opened the season at home with a 96-73 win over Western Carolina as Bill Wampler scored 26 points in his WSU debut.  Wright State played at Murray State Saturday night where they lost 73-54 as Mark Hughes led the way with 16 points.  Wampler averages 16.5 points a game now while Loudon Love sits at 16.0 points and seven rebounds per contest.  As a team, WSU is shooting 47% overall and 34% from three-point range while turning the ball over only 26 times but forcing 37 turnovers.

Toledo
The Rockets, 2-0, opened their season last weekend with an 87-86 victory at Oakland on Friday and a 99-58 home triumph over NAIA foe Wilberforce on Saturday. The two wins helped UT maintain its No. 13 ranking in the collegeinsiders.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll. Senior Jaelan Sanford and junior Willie Jackson led the Rockets last weekend. Sanford averaged a team-high 23.0 ppg, while Jackson posted a pair of double-doubles with 16.0 ppg and a team-best 11.0 rpg and shot an impressive 76.5 percent from the field.  UT was tabbed to finish third in the West Division of the MAC after finishing first last year.  Jaelan Sanford, a senior guard, was selected to the preseason MAC West team after posting 16.3 points per game and dishing 101 assists in 34 games when he was named second-team all conference.  Also back for the Rockets is sophomore Marreon Jackson, who was named to the MAC Freshman Team last year, averaging 8.0 points per game.  Senior Nate Navigato is back after setting a Rockets' record with 94 threes a year ago.

The teams are knotted with six wins each in the overall series after the Raiders won last year in Toledo 77-69.  Four Raiders scored in double digits, including Love, who finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
