@WSUVBall Hosts Senior Weekend

Both Matches are FREE to Everyone

The Wright State volleyball ill host the final weekend of the regular season as Cleveland State comes to town Friday at 6 pm with Youngstown State making an appearance for the final match Saturday at 4 pm in McLin Gym.  Friday night will be shown on ESPN3 while Saturday will be on ESPN+.  Both matches this weekend are free to the public.

Wright State
The Raiders, 13-13 and 5-9, is coming off a 3-0 loss at Green Bay Sunday.  Celia Powers and Teddie Sauer each averaged 2.62 kills per set while Lainey Stephenson averages 8.9 assists and 2.99 digs.  Alannah Lemming is hitting .238 overall with 190 kills in 100 sets.  WSU fell at CSU and at YSU 3-1 earlier this year.  The Vikings lead overall 37-32 and WSU leads the overall series with the Penguins 37-12.

Cleveland State
The Vikings, who are playing in their 18th season of Horizon League play, entered the 2018 #HLVB season as the three-time defending Regular Season champions. Under head coach Chuck Voss, the Vikings own a 169-99 record in regular season Horizon League matches, and won a program-best 14 league contests two years ago. Cleveland State has captured five Regular Season Horizon League crowns (2009, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017), along with a handful of tournament titles (2007, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017).  Earlier this week, sophomore Hannah Greene was named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week, after averaging 2.11 blocks per set in a pair of matches against IUPUI and Milwaukee.

Youngstown State
The Penguins, 7-20 and 1-13, will play at Northern Kentucky before visiting McLin Gym.  YSU's last win came against the Raiders 3-1 on Sept. 28 as they have lost 11 straight.  Aleah Hughes and Margeaux Thompson boh average 2.5 kills per set while Hughes leads in digs at 3.78 per set.  YSU started the season 3-0 with a championship at the Bucknell Invitational with wins over Bucknell, St. Peters and NJIT.

Next Up
The Raiders are currently in seventh place, a win behind Oakland.  The Horizon League Tournament, played at the top seed, includes the top six teams.
