The Wright State baseball team took its fifth straight win as the Raiders defeated Cincinnati 14-8 Thursday afternoon at WSU's Nischwitz Stadium.

The Raiders and Bearcats battled back and forth with the scored tied at eight after five innings when Wright State scored one in the sixth and five more in the eighth to secure the win. WSU used 17 hits to score their most runs of the season so far.

Brandon Giltrow led the way with three hits while Matt Morrow collected a pair of doubles with three runs and three RBI. Damon Dues, Peyton Burdick, Gabe Snyder, Zane Harris and Quincy Hamilton each had two hits with doubles from Due, Burdick, Snyder and Seth Gray.

Bear Bellomy took the start as Jason Foster pitched three innings with two strikeouts to get his first win. Wright State, 9-6, will open Horizon League play this weekend by hosting Oakland Saturday at 3 pm followed by a doubleheader against the Grizzlies Sunday at Noon.
