Baseball Plays at Northern Kentucky

The Wright State baseball team will jump back into Horizon League play with a three-game series at Northern Kentucky this weekend. The Raiders will travel NKU for a doubleheader Friday and a single game Saturday. Both days start at 1 pm.
The Raiders, 13-8 after a rainout Wednesday at Dayton, will enter the weekend series with a 4-2 Horizon League mark. WSU has been led by Gabe Snyder with 23 RBI and five homeruns, which also leads the league. Peyton Burdick tops the Raiders with a .330 batting average, 28 hits and 22 runs scored. Starter Ryan Weiss holds a 3.43 ERA with a record of 4-0 in a team-high 39.1 innings. As a team, the Raiders lead the league in hitting with a .278 average and second in pitching with a 4.11 ERA.
THE NORSE
Northern Kentucky, 5-16 and 2-4 after taking one of three games at Youngstown State last weekend, has been led by Will Haueter with a .355 average, 15 RBI and five homeruns. The Norse have won one game in each league series so far, including at UIC and at YSU. Cameron Ross has pitched a team-high 32.2 innings with a 3.58 ERA.
NEXT WEEK
Next up, the Raiders will travel to Cincinnati for a 6:30 pm game Tuesday. Wright State will head to Chicago for a three-game set against UIC next weekend.
