
Baseball Plays at Cincinnati; Time Change

The Wright State baseball team will play a non-conference mid-week game at Cincinnati Tuesday. Game time will noe be 3 pm at Marge Schott Stadium. (PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE) The game can be watched on the gobearcats.com website.
The Raiders, 15-10 and 4-2, took two of three games at Northern Kentucky over the weekend. At the plate, reigning Batter of the Week Alex Alders led the way, hitting .526 with 10 hits, four RBI and two stolen bases. Alders is now hitting .420 on the season. Gabe Snyder has 30 hits and 30 RBI to lead the Raiders. Pitcher Zane Collins nailed down the win on Sunday, throwing six innings and giving up only one earned run on three hits. The Raiders continue to lead the Horizon League with a .292 batting average.
CINCINNATI BEARCATS
Cincinnati, 12-13 and 3-3, has won three of the last four games but did take two of three from preseason-favorite Houston over the weekend. Manny Rodriguez had an extra-base hit in all three games, making it six games in a row that he has hit at least one extra-base knock. He doubled in the series-opener, then hit a RBI double in game two and a solo homerun in the final game of the week to lead Cincinnati to the series victory over preseason-favorite Houston. He is hitting .326 on the season. Jarod Yoakam comes in from the bullpen to post a 4-0 mark with three saves while JT Perez leads the starters with a 2.51 ERA.
The teams met earlier in the season at WSU's Nischwitz Stadium on March 15 as the Raiders won 14-8. Wright State leads the overall series 43-38-1.
