@WSU_TRACK_XC Shines at Friendship Invitational

The Wright State women's cross country team continued the success of their strong performance at the Queen City Invitational, finishing second out of sixteen competing teams at the Friendship Invitational hosted by Cedarville University. The men's team placed sixth, which included two top-twenty times in the 8k distance.

At the 5k distance, junior Shelby Nolan placed fourth with a time of 18:40.8, just behind junior Victoria Angelopoulos placed fifth with a time of 19:10.6. Junior Molly Kearns, sophomore Lauren Shuman, and junior Tiffany Ward also finished inside of the top-20 runners.

Junior Nathan Dunn once again led the way for the Raiders placing seventh with a time of 26:04.7. Senior Ryan Dunn also posted a top-20 finish, placing fifteenth with a time of 26:33.7.

Raider Cross Country will be back in action on Saturday, September 29th when they travel to Akron to compete in the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Championship hosted by the University of Akron. The meet will take place at Silver Creek Metro Park Cross Country Trails with women running a 6k at 2:00 pm and men will run an 8k at 2:45pm.
