Volleyball travels to Cleveland State for midweek competition

The Wright State volleyball team makes its second and final midweek trip of the season on Wednesday night, traveling to take on Cleveland State in Horizon League action at 6 p.m.

Wright State is coming off two big wins last weekend, defeating Milwaukee and Green Bay. The Raiders enter the week tied for second in the Horizon League standings with Green Bay, with each having a HL record of 9-3. Wright State is 10-0 at home and have tallied an overall record of 20-4 this far. 
 
After sweeping the weekend, the Raiders also swept the Horizon League Player of the Week honors, as Taylor Gibson was named Offensive Player of the Week and Jenna Story was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week for the sixth time this seaosn.
 
Cleveland State
  • The Vikings are 3-9 in HL play and 7-16 overall. Currently they are ranked seventh in HL standings.
  • Cleveland State has defeated Green Bay, Youngstown State and Oakland to make up its three conference wins.
  • Junior outside hitter Emily DeGeorge recently recorded her 1,000 career dig in the match against Youngstown State on October 18.
  • Sophomore setter Grecol is currently second on the HL leaderboard for assists, averaging 9.78 per set. Trinniti Hall, a senior middle hitter, is ranked third in kills as she averages 3.43 kills/set and also second in points on the HL leaderboard.
