The pitching staff of 19th-ranked Oklahoma State got the best of Wright State in game one of a three game series on Friday. Brandon Giltrow and Chase Slone connected for doubles and Damon Dues, Kyle Casserly, and Tyler Black added hits, but the Raiders were left without a run. Bear Bellomy competed well for Wright State, striking out seven Cowboy batters while allowing just two earned runs over 5.1 innings pitched. Riley Perlich impressed in his collegiate debut, striking out a batter in a three-up, three-down ninth. Oklahoma State did their damage in the second and seventh frames, scoring two runs in each. The Cowboys used a double in each of those innings with no outs to jumpstart the offense. Jensen Elliot received the win for Oklahoma State after an impressive six-inning performance. The Raiders and Cowboys return to action from Stillwater Saturday at 3:00 PM for game two of the series. Horizon League pitcher of the week Zane Collins is expected to make his second start of the season for Wright State.
