Box Score In their first of two games this weekend, the Wright State women's basketball team won 78-52 against the Cleveland State Vikings. With the victory the Raiders moved to 21-6 overall and remain 1
st in the Horizon League with a 13-2 conference record.

Tyler Frierson led the way for the Raiders with 16 points and also collected 14 rebounds.
Symone Simmons added 14 points and tallied 14 rebounds.
Michal Miller added 10 points for the Raiders and dished out a game-high six assists.

1st Quarter
After winning the tip, the Raiders moved the ball from
Michal Miller to
Tyler Frierson under the basket for a layup. On the next possession,
Mackenzie Taylor would hit a three from the corner with no defenders around her. One minute later
Michal Miller would find
Tyler Frierson for the second time in the game, Frierson would finish with an additional layup. After collecting her own offensive rebound then being fouled,
Imani Partlow would be sent the line where she would convert two for the Raiders. The Vikings would hold with the Raiders though with the score standing at 9-7 midway through the quarter. Out of the media timeout,
Jalise Beck was able to race down the court where she was able to find
Anisja Harris for three.
Michal Miller would be the next scoring Raider after finding the net on a long floater. After collecting an offensive rebound,
Tyler Frierson would put in a timely layup and also drew a foul on the play. To end the quarter the Raiders would go on a 6-0 run against the Vikings.

2nd Quarter
Teneshia Dixon opened up scoring for the Raiders in the quarter with a turnaround jumper in the lane. After a missed Viking shot,
Angel Baker would add two points on the next possession. The Raiders continued their scoring run with a 17-6 run in the first five minutes of the quarter. At the 4:58 mark,
Michal Miller would sink a contested three-pointer to put the Raiders up by 17 points. With 1:42 remaining in the half,
Anisja Harris would hit her second three-pointer of the night.
Tyler Frierson would put in the last of Wright State's point in the half with a rebound and put back under the basket.

3rd Quarter
The Raiders were the first team on the board with an
Emily Vogelpohl layup. Vogelpohl would end the Vikings effort for an answer with a steal and then finish the play with a layup. One possession later
Michal Miller would find
Tyler Frierson in the lane and Frierson would finish with a turnaround jumper. The two players would also hookup one 30 seconds later for an additional two points. Frierson would continue her streak by putting in two more on her third straight possession. After a dry streak of more than three minutes the Vikings would get back on the boards with a three-pointer to make the score 51-28.
Symone Simmons ended a scoring drought of more than five minutes with a layup at the 1:48 mark. Simmons was also able to draw a foul on the play off of which she was able to convert her free throw. On the next possession,
Mackenzie Taylor added her own three points with one coming from the line. After a three from Cleveland State,
Michal Miller provided her own three to answer on the next Raider possession to make the score 60-38.

4th Quarter
Symone Simmons opened up scoring in the quarter with a jumper off of an offensive rebound. Simmons also provided the next big play for the Raiders with a powerful block that gave possession back to Wright State. The change of possession would lead to a jumper from
Emily Vogelpohl. After collecting a free ball,
Teneshia Dixon would feed a cutting
Symone Simmons with a strong pass across court. Simmons would be fouled on the play and add one from the line. Cleveland State would answer with an uncontested three-pointer to make the score 69-43. Coming out of the media timeout,
Imani Partlow would collect her own offensive rebound and put it back in for tow under the basket. On the other end, Partlow would put a dominating block on a Viking shot then chase down the ball to complete the play on the sideline. Two possessions later
Jalise Beck would also come up with a steal that would turn into two points from
Imani Partlow. The Raiders would continue their scoring streak with
Angel Baker finding
Anisja Harris for a turnaround floater.
