LAST TIME OUT

Wright State tallied back-to-back sweeps over IUPUI and Purdue Fort Wayne last weekend to run the Raiders' winning streak to four matches. Against IUPUI, Celia Powers finished with a match-high 12 kills as the lone player on either side to reach double-digit kills, while also adding all three of Wright State's service aces. Megan Alders and Celia Powers each finished with double-digit kills to pace the Raider offense against Fort Wayne, with Alders recording a match-high 12 and Powers adding 11 kills of her own to go along with a pair of blocks and a service ace.

BROOM SWEEP
Wright State has strung together four consecutive three-set sweeps dating back to October 3 at Green Bay, tying the longest stretch of consecutive sweeps under head coach Allie Matters with the start of the spring 2021 season that saw the Raiders begin the schedule with four sweeps. In the spring season, the Raiders finished with 12 three-set sweep wins out of their 17 victories, while the current squad has tallied sweeps in six of its 12 wins to date.

KNOW THE FOES
Cleveland State is 6-13 on the season and has lost its last four matches entering Friday's meeting, but the Vikings are 4-4 in Horizon League play to date. Cleveland State has been on a rollercoaster as of late, first losing seven straight from Sept. 3-17 before four victories in a row ahead of the current four match losing streak. Cleveland State has a 2-3 mark at home but is a combined 4-10 in road and neutral matches this season. In Horizon League play, Cleveland State has split its four wins evenly, with two at home and two on the road. Cleveland State was 9-7 overall in spring 2021, with all matches coming in HL play. The Raiders won both meetings this spring inside McLin and have won four straight overall in the series.

Oakland is 12-7 overall this season and has won three in a row entering the weekend, when it will take on Northern Kentucky Friday night before meeting Wright State on Saturday. Oakland has been better at home, albeit in a smaller sample size, holding a 5-1 mark at home and holding a 7-6 combined mark in road and neutral matches. The Golden Grizzlies are 6-2 in the Horizon League entering this weekend's action. Oakland finished spring 2021 with a 7-9 overall record, all in Horizon League play. The Raiders swept both meetings this spring and have won four in a row in the series overall.
