DAYTON — The Wright State cross country teams will compete in the All-Ohio Championships hosted by nearby Cedarville University on Friday night at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.

The meet will commence at 8:25 p.m. with the women's 5,000-meter race, followed by the men's 8,000-meter race at 9:10 p.m. Temporary lights will be positioned around the course, while runners will wear glow bands during the race.
The championship meet will stream on Stretch LIVE, permitting weather. Live results will be posted on FinishTiming.com.
Wright State will race against 20-plus in-state programs, including Division I competitors Akron, Dayton, Kent State, Miami (OH), and Ohio.
The Raiders are coming off a pair of seventh-place team finishes at the Mike Baumer XC Classic.
Alex McCarty led WSU on the men's side by placing 13th out of 178 runners with a time of 15:25.1. McCarty's time was nearly identical to his 2021 finishing mark in the race last season (15:24.5) and was 24 seconds off the pace of men's individual winner Simon Heys of Wilmington College.
Max Pettit (29, 15:42.8),
Nathan Sheriff (42, 16:05.4),
Jacob Poling (47, 16:10.2), and
Tayton Hess (49, 16:11.4) were bunched together to round out the Raider top five.
Ethan Neblock (62, 16:32.1) and
Patrick Statzer (65, 16:42.1) also ran for the Wright State men.
On the women's side,
Emma Shigley finished 30th overall (19:00.4), followed by
Emma Johnson (38, 19:31.6),
Alicia Neumeier (47, 20:05.4),
Alycea Ruhlen (57, 21:21.1) and
Nataly Duenas-Diaz (59, 21:42.4).
McKenzie Sturwold (60, 21:46.5),
Anna Johnson (66, 22:13.1) and
Elizabeth Kilgore (24:35.7) also competed for the Raider women.
Following the All-Ohio Championships, WSU will turn its attention to the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic on Saturday, October 1, in Louisville, Kentucky.
