Baseball closes regular season home schedule against Milwaukee

DAYTON — The Wright State baseball concludes its regular season home schedule against Milwaukee from May 12-14 at Nischwitz Stadium. Admission will be free for all three games, while live stats will also be available.

LAST TIME OUT
The Raiders are coming off back-to-back midweek victories over Dayton and UCF by final scores of 11-2 and 11-7. Wright State raced out to a quick 8-0 lead by the third inning and held off a Flyers the rest of the way. WSU trailed the Knight 6-2 but erupted for seven runs in the bottom of the sixth to go up 9-6 and lead for the remainder of the game. WSU's offense combined for 22 runs on 23 hits (13 for extra bases) and 13 walks in the two wins.
Wright State secured a weekend sweep of Northern Kentucky last weekend, outscoring the Norse 26-12 over three games to move into sole first place in the Horizon League standings.
HISTORY VS. MKE
Wright State leads the all-time series 76-65. The Raiders were swept at Milwaukee in early April, losing two of the three games by three or fewer runs. WSU went 3-2 against MKE in 2022, capped off by back-to-back wins on the road to conclude the regular season.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Milwaukee is 22-24 overall and 10-13 against conference opponents under the guidance of 17th-year head coach Scott Doffek. The Panthers boast HL series wins over Wright State, Northern Kentucky, and Purdue Fort Wayne but have lost six of their last seven conference games. MKE defeated Northwestern 3-2 on Tuesday at home.
Aaron Chapman has been Milwaukee's top offensive threat, batting .355 with 11 doubles, seven home runs, and 22 RBI. The Panthers are 65-for-78 on stolen base attempts, led by Luke Seidel with 16 steals. On the mound, Riley Frey has gone 4-5 with a 4.93 ERA in 70.3 innings.
