TRU BY HILTON DAYTON BEAVERCREEK INVITATIONAL
Wright State will open tournament action with a meeting against former Horizon League foe for the second straight weekend, this time against Butler (Thursday, 6 p.m.) before taking on Cincinnati on Saturday afternoon. Butler and Cincinnati will face off on Friday afternoon.

IT'S BEEN A WHILE
Wright State is set for its first home matches of the season this weekend and its first contests inside McLin Gymnasium since hosting the Horizon League Championship and winning the title on November 20, 2022. The Raiders were a perfect 14-0 at home in 2022.

TOURNAMENT HOSTS
Wright State is hosting non-conference tournament action for the fourth straight "full" season, welcoming teams since 2019 with the exception of the COVID-impacted, Horizon League only schedule in Spring 2021. No strangers to the hosting duties, McLin Gymnasium has also served as the site of three of the last four Horizon League Championships (2019, Spring 2021, 2022).

KNOW THE FOES
- Butler is off to a 5-4 start to the season, including a 3-0 record at home. The Bulldogs are 1-1 in true road matches and just 1-3 in neutral site contests, picking up both wins last weekend against Indiana State and at Morehead State. Butler has a pair of common opponents with the Raiders - the Bulldogs fell at Dayton in three sets on Sept. 2 and lost in four sets to Northern Kentucky last Friday (Sept. 8). Butler finished the 2022 season above .500 for the first time since 2017. Butler finished 16-15 overall and 10-8 in Big East play. The Bulldogs fell to Marquette in the Big East quarterfinals in their season finale. Butler holds the all-time series lead with a record of 32-21 against the Raiders.

- Cincinnati is 6-2 on the season with five of its eight matches coming at home. The Bearcats split a pair of home matches against South Carolina last weekend, falling in five sets on Friday night before a three-set win on Saturday. Cincinnati finished the 2022 campaign with two straight wins on the way to an overall record of 11-19 (9-11 in the AAC). The Raiders will face off with the Bearcats for the 33rd time in program history, with the Bearcats winning 21 of the 32 previous matches.

1,000 CLUB
A trio of Raiders reached milestones during action at the Dayton Invitational (Sept. 8 and 9).
- Megan Alders reached 1,000 career kills after 27 combined kills against UIC and Ball State (Sept. 8).
- Callie Martin moved past the 1,000 career dig mark with 27 total digs against UIC and Ball State (Sept. 8).
- Jenny Wessling now has more than 1,000 digs in her collegiate career between High Point & Wright State after 51 combined digs against UIC and Ball State (Sept. 8).

DEFEND McLIN
Since the start of the 2018 season, Wright State is 49-8 overall in home matches inside McLin Gymnasium after a 21-60 home mark (and just 54 total victories, home or otherwise) from 2011-2016. Overall, the Raiders are now 63-15 in Horizon League play since the start of 2018.
