DAYTON - The Wright State and Air Force Academy men's basketball teams will tip off in front of a sold out crowd on Saturday November 30. The Wright State Department of Athletics announced that over 10,000 tickets have been claimed for the Stars, Stripes, Flight Classic which ranks in the top five largest home crowds to ever see the Raiders play in the Nutter Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. with gates opening early at 5:30 p.m. With the expected large crowd fans are encouraged to arrive early.

"This is more than a basketball game. It is an event to celebrate the relationship between the United States Air Force and the Dayton Region," said Joylynn Brown, Wright State Director of Athletics. "Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Wright State University enjoy a longstanding relationship and the Air Force Academy coming here to compete against Wright State highlights that relationship and provides a great opportunity for basketball fans from around the Region to watch these two great teams compete on the basketball court."
The Big Hoopla, host of the NCAA Tournament's First Four in Dayton, and CareSource are serving as title sponsors of the Stars, Stripes and Flight Classic. In addition to the action on the court, the game will feature an Air Force swearing-in ceremony at halftime. T-shirts and rally towels will be given out to all in attendance. Fans will also be able to take advantage of several special concessions deals.

Wright State enters Saturday's contest at 4-4 overall after last weekend's Myrtle Beach Invitational, grabbing a win over Princeton before a pair of heartbreaking losses by a combined four points to Bradley and USF. Air Force is currently 2-4 with a Wednesday home game forthcoming before Saturday's game.
This is the third meeting all time between the two schools, who met in back-to-back Decembers in a home-and-home series late in the 2010 and 2011 calendar years. The Raiders won the first meeting on Dec. 8, 2010, at the Nutter Center, while Air Force won the follow-up contest on Dec. 7, 2011, in Colorado.
