DAYTON- The Wright State men's soccer team (1-8-1, 1-3 HL) will kick off a three-match home stand on Tuesday, October 7, as in-state rival Xavier comes into town. First touch is scheduled for 7 p.m., and the first 100 fans at Alumni Field will receive a Wright State men's soccer t-shirt.

The Raiders fell 1-2 on the road at Cleveland State on Saturday night.
Wright State (1-8-1, 1-3) will kick off a three-game home stand on Tuesday, October 7, as in-state rival Xavier comes to Alumni Field. First touch against Xavier is slated for 7 p.m. The homestand will also include matches against Northern Kentucky on October 11 and Milwaukee on October 18.
The Raiders opened the scoring in the 32
nd minute from a set piece about 25 yards out.
Marko Odorcic sent a free kick into the box that Ishamel Mensah flicked on to Oneil Michell, who finished the opportunity. The goal is Mitchell's second in as many games after scoring the winner last Saturday against Detroit Mercy.
The Vikings would take control in the second half, scoring the equalizer in the 51
st minute and the winner in the 81
st minute. The equalizer was scored from the penalty spot with Jacob Deever converting the chance. The winner came off the foot of Peleg Armendariz.
SCOUTING THE MUSKETEERS
Xavier enters Tuesday's match at 4-3-2 on the season and 1-1-1 in BIG EAST play. The Musketeers are coming off a 1-0 shutout win over Marquette last Friday. Offensively, Xavier is paced by Cooper Forcellini. The senior's nine goals on the season are good for first in the BIG EAST and third nationally. Forcellini also ranks 10
th in the NCAA in total points (18) and 14
th in shots on goal per match (1.67). Jonny Mennell has been the main man between the posts for Xavier, holding a career record of 15-14-2 with 18 shutouts and a 1.00 goals against average. Mennell is one shutout away from tying the school record for most shutouts.
HISTORY VS. XAVIER
Tuesday night's match will mark the 29
th all-time meeting between Wright State and Xavier, a series that the Raiders lead 14-8-6. The two squads last met in the 2023 season opener, playing to a 1-1 draw. Xavier came out on top 3-2 when the teams last met in Dayton.

Henry Hutchinson, has accounted for 33% of the goals scored by the Raiders this season. The Westerville, Ohio, native has already set a new career high in goals scored, with three, surpassing his previous high of two from the 2023 and 2024 seasons. So far this season, Hutchinson has scored against Belmont, Loyola Chicago, and Purdue Fort Wayne.
