
Raiders Fall to Milwaukee on Day Two of #HLBASE Championship

The Raiders drove in two runs in the first two innings, as JP Peltier opened the scoring for WSU with a single down the left field line to drive in Hunter Warren. Continuing his home run streak, Boston Smith launched a solo homer over the left field wall in the second inning, matching the current league record of 23 home runs this season.
Milwaukee jumped out to a 9-2 lead after the first three innings, opening the game with four runs in the first– scoring on a single before driving in three more on a double to left-center. The Panthers added an RBI triple in the second, followed by another four-run inning in the third that included a two-run single, a steal of home, and an RBI single.
The Panthers extended their lead in the sixth, scoring on an RBI double, an RBI single, and another steal of home on a play at second. WSU responded in the bottom half with an RBI double by Gus Gregory, driving in Patrick Fultz.
The Raiders capped the scoring for the day as Braylen Blomquist hit his second home run of the season– traveling 366 feet over the right field wall.
