Men’s Soccer Stays in the Windy City for Match with UIC

DAYTON- The Wright State men's soccer team will remain in the Windy City on Sunday, September 7 for an afternoon match with University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET and fans can follow the action via an ESPN+ livestream and live stats will also be provided.

SCOUTING THE FLAMES
UIC is off to an undefeated 3-0-1 start to their 2025 campaign. The Flames have a stout defense only allowing one goal per game. UIC features a pair of junior midfielders that have provided them with a spark offensively, Edouard Nys (four goals and one assist) and Darrell Turcios (three goals and two assists.

HISTORY VS. UIC
Sunday afternoon's match will be the 39th meeting all-time between Wright State and UIC, a series that the Flames lead 16-13-6. The two squads last met in 2019 with the Flames coming out on top 3-2 on their home turf.

UP NEXT
Following Thursday's match, the Raiders will head over to Indianapolis to kick off Horizon League play against IU Indy on Saturday, September 13. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m.
 
LAST SEASON REWIND
Wright State finished last season with a 7-9-2 overall record and a 3-5-1 mark in Horizon League play. The Raiders were 4-3-1 at home at Alumni Field last season.
 
SIZING UP THE 2025 SQUAD
WSU welcomes 11 newcomers – including four freshman – to this season's roster. The Raiders' roster includes four freshmen, 14 sophomores, three juniors, six, seniors, and one graduate student.
