Wright State (15-15, 9-1HL) will be back in action tomorrow afternoon for game two of its three-game set at Youngstown State. First pitch Saturday is slated for 3 p.m.

Cam Allen got the start on the mound for the Raiders and delivered a quality start. The right-hander pitched six innings, allowing just two runs on two hits while striking out five Penguin batters. Allen's two hits allowed on the day came by way of a pair of solo shots off the bats of Jack Messmore and Brady Shannon.

Youngstown State opened the scoring in the bottom of the second with its first of two home runs on the day.

The Raiders would respond with four runs of their own in the bottom of the third. Hunter Warren got the Raiders on the board, launching his fifth homer over the wall in left. Keegan Holmstrom would score the third run of the inning by coming in to score on a wild pitch. Gus Gregory would cap off the inning with an RBI single to extend the Wright State lead to 4-1.

The Penguins clubbed their second home run of the day in the top of the fourth to cut the Wright State lead to two runs.

The Raiders would bring across single tallies in the fifth and sixth with a Patrick Fultz sacrifice fly in the fifth and a Cy Turner homer in the sixth. The homer is Turner's second of the season.

Wright State would then break the game wide open with six runs in the top of the seventh inning. Three runs would come in thanks to a pair of bases-loaded walks and a hit by pitch. Â JP Peltier would deliver the big blow in the inning, clearing the bases with a three-run double.

Youngstown State would answer back two runs of their own in the bottom of the seventh to prevent the 10-run rule from coming into effect.

The Raiders would extend their lead with three runs in the top of the ninth. Turner would come in to score on a throw error by the Penguins' catcher. Holmstrom and Gregory would cap off the game with a pair of RBI singles to put the game out of reach at 15-4
