Jim Peterson, who was an assistant coach with the Wright State softball program the past two seasons, has resigned to put more time into his business, announced head coach Mike Larabee.

"Jim was an integral part of our program the two years he was here and made significant contributions to our program," said Larabee. "We wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors."

"I have enjoyed my two seasons of coaching at WSU," said Peterson. "I would like to thank the athletic department and coach Larabee for giving me this opportunity."

Peterson will continue to be an assistant coach with the Canadian Women's National Team as they play and prepare to qualify for the 2008 Olympics.
