Box Score The Wright State baseball team dropped an 11-1 decision to Bowling Green on Tuesday evening. The Raiders collected only eight hits and made three errors as they dropped their second straight nonconference tilt.
The Falcons raced out to an early lead, tallying five runs in the first five innings off of WSU starter John Lambert. Lambert surrendered five runs on eight hits and struck out two batters, falling to 0-2 on the season.
The Green and Gold got on the board in the fifth inning when Ross Oeder smacked a lead-off home run over the left field fence. It is the third home run of the season for the senior, a career high, and he now leads the team in 10 offensive categories.
BGSU, now 11-11, would add six runs in the seventh inning, five off of WSU reliever Greg Robinson and one off of Jon Durket. Dan Barker and Jordan Wolfe would each throw a scoreless inning to close out the contest for Wright State.
Offensively, Oeder was two-for-five with the homer and a double, while Jeremy Hamilton singled and drew the only two walks of the game for WSU. Five other Raiders collected hits in the contest as WSU left nine runners on base.
Wright State falls to 10-8 overall this season and will travel down I-75 tomorrow to face off with Cincinnati at Marge Schott Stadium. The Raiders and Bearcats will take to the field at 6:30 in a single game.
