Box Score The Wright State men's soccer team suffered their fourth setback of the season on Tuesday evening at Cal Poly. The Raiders allowed a trio of first half goals to the Mustangs and couldn't overcome the 19 to eight shot deficit in them match.
Cal Poly (4-1) netted the first of three goals in the ninth minute when Kyle Montgomery tallied the unassisted marker.
Just seven minutes later, Daniel Cumming netted an unassisted tally at the 15:07 mark to push Cal Poly out to an early 2-0 lead.
The Mustangs then added the final tally of the game on the third unassisted goal of match. The final goal was recorded off the foot of Tim White at the 32:44 mark to account for the three Cal Poly goals.
The two teams played the final 55 minutes scoreless. In the match, the Mustangs outshot WSU 19-8 and took seven corner kicks to only one for Wright State. Wright State netminder Tebias Mason made seven saves in the match and now has 42 saves on the season.
The Raiders end their season opening, six-game road trip with a 2-4 record and will return home for their home opener against Bowling Green. The Raiders and Falcons will take to the pitch at Alumni Field on Sunday, September 23, with kickoff scheduled for 2:00.
