Men's Soccer Drops 3-0 Decision at Bowling Green

The Wright State men's soccer team allowed a pair of first half goals and couldn't recover on Wednesday afternoon at Bowling Green, falling 3-0 to the Falcons at Cochrane Field. WSU held the advantage in shots and forced the BGSU keeper to make six saves in the match.

Bowling Green tallied the first goal of the match in the 12th minute when Chuko Evwaraye who took a pass from Cameron Hepple and blasted a shot to the far post. It was the first goal of the season for Evwaraye and gave BGSU a 1-0 lead.

Then in the 29th minute, the Falcons added their second goal when Byard Ebling took a give-and-go pass from Gavin Dozier and found the back of the net for a 2-0 lead.

The third goal was tallied by Thomas McLean on a thirty yard blast that got past the WSU keeper to account for the final goal in the match in the 69th minute.

In the match, the Raiders held the advantage in shots (22-16), corner kicks (7-2) and forced the BGSU keeper to make six saves. Braden Fleak and Josh Zimmerlin each tallied four shots in the match, while senior Josh Grossman took five shots.

Wright State is now 3-11-1 and will return to the pitch on Saturday, October 25, for a 7:00 Horizon League tilt at Cleveland State.
