Box Score The Wright State softball team was looking for its second straight Horizon League series sweep, but the Butler Bulldogs jumped out to a 4-0 lead and held on for a 5-4 decision over the Raiders in Indianapolis Wednesday afternoon.
Butler scored a run in the first and then added three more in the third, two coming on a Bridget Paine home run to center, to take a 4-0 lead.
WSU started on its comeback in the fifth with a run on a Jamie Perkins sacrifice fly and then tallied two more runs in the sixth as Justine Shilt tripled in China Frost, who led off the inning with a single, and Shilt came in on a fielder's choice off the bat of Mollie Berry.
Berry drove in another run in the seventh with a hit through the left side, plating Perkins, and the Raiders had two runners on before the game ended on a fielder's choice.
Frost and Shilt led the way offensively for WSU with two hits.
