Wright State pitching allowed just four runs and struck out 21 on the day, but the Raiders found the offense hard to come by as Bowling Green won both games Friday afternoon at the WSU Softball Field, the Falcons taking game one 2-0 and game two 2-1.

The opener was a scoreless pitcher's duel between WSU's Krystian DeWitt and BGSU's Paris Imholz for the first four innings, with DeWitt retiring all 12 batters and Imholz allowing just a single to Kacie Rapshus in the second and a walk to Hanna Floyd in the fourth.

Bowling Green, however, plated an unearned run in the fifth and then added an insurance run in the seventh.  The Raiders posed a threat in the bottom of the seventh in loading the bases with no outs on a Floyd walk, Lindsay Barrett being hit by a pitch and Taylor Knore dropping a single into right, but could not score.

DeWitt (2-6) was the tough-luck loser despite allowing just four hits and no walks while striking out 11.

In the second game, the Falcons scored a run as Paige Berger's double went off the third base bag and down the left field line, only to see Wright State tie it in the bottom of the fifth.  With one out, Kristi Boreing doubled along the left field line and Alanna Williams reached on a fielding error.  One out later, walks to Jess Gorman and Floyd forced in a run.

Bowling Green, however, came up with the game-winner in the sixth as Marissa Shook hit a solo home run to left center.

Montana Wear (1-8) struck out 10 in a complete-game performance.

Wright State (3-16) returns to action on Tuesday, March 26, as the Raiders travel to Marshall for a 2:00 doubleheader.
