Box Score The Wright State men's soccer team picked up a 3-1 Senior Night win over IPFW Tuesday at Alumni Field.
Senior midfielder Bryce Rockwell-Ashton gave the Raiders a 1-0 lead at the 22:29 mark of the first half with his first goal of the season. Rockwell-Ashton took a pass from senior midfielder Michael Hayes and took a shot from the left side of the box that found the lower right corner of the goal. It was the first assist of the year for Hayes.
The advantage grew to 2-0 just before halftime at the 42:05 mark as sophomore forward Peguy Ngatcha recorded his team-leading sixth goal of the year. Ngatcha connected on a straight-on shot following a pass from junior forward Brett Elder, who notched his first assist of the season.
IPFW cut the deficit in half with a goal at the 73:52 mark of the second half, only to see WSU answer with an insurance goal just three minutes later. Sophomore midfielder Avery Ball scored his first collegiate goal as he gathered in a pass with his chest from junior midfielder Wes Cain, gained control and scored on a straight shot. It was Cain's second assist of the season.
The Raiders finished with a 14-5 shot advantage and led 5-2 in corner kicks.
Wright State (9-5-1) hosts UIC Saturday night in its final home contest of the regular season, with the match starting at 7:00.
