Box Score A second-half goal by Peguy Ngatcha lifted the Wright State men's soccer team to a 2-1 Horizon League win over UIC Saturday night at Alumni Field.
The Raiders were limited to three shots in the first half, but two of those resulted in the first goal of the night as a free kick by Eric Lynch hit the crossbar, only to have it rebound to Jake Stovall, who headed in his fifth goal of the season at the 28:19 mark.
UIC, however, tied it with a rebound goal of its own six minutes later and the two teams were tied at 1-1 at the half.
Ngatcha scored the game-winner at the 67:59 mark of the second half, his team-leading seventh goal of the season.  Lynch was credited with his second assist of the night and team-best 10th of the season, along with Avery Ball, who picked up his first career assist.
WSU led 16-9 in shots and 9-1 in corner kicks as the Raiders finished with a regular-season home record of 8-1.  It was the first win over UIC since a 2-1 decision over the Flames in the quarterfinals of the Horizon League Tournament on November 6, 2004, at Alumni Field.
Wright State (10-5-1, 4-3 Horizon), which reached the 10-win plateau for the first time since going 11-7-2 in 2011, wraps up league play on Saturday, November 1, with a 7:00 contest at league-leading Oakland.
