Softball Falls at Ohio

The softball team finished with an 8-7 hit advantage, but could not overcome two home runs by Ohio as the Bobcats went on to a 3-1 win Friday afternoon in Athens.

Ohio's Savannah Jo Dorsey hit a two-run home run in the second and Alexia Cortez added a solo shot in the third to give the Bobcats a 3-0 lead.

The Raiders cut into the deficit with a run in the fourth on a RBI single by Reagan Stofcheck, but could get no closer.

Stofcheck, Libby Pfeffer and Kristi Boreing each had two hits to pace the Raider offense. 

Wright State (2-14) competes at the Hoosier Invitational this weekend, taking on Toledo (10:00) and host Indiana (4:45) on Saturday followed by Michigan State (11:30) and Indiana (4:00) on Sunday.
