Box Score 2 The Wright State softball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader at IUPUI Wednesday, falling 8-0 in the first game and 13-12 in the second.
The Jaguars managed just three hits in the opener, but two of those were three-run homers as Ali Mosier had one in the third and Taylor Chitwood one as part of a five-run fifth.
In the second game, WSU led 4-1 in the third and 7-3 in the fifth, only to see IUPUI score 10 runs in the final three innings, including two in the bottom of the seventh to pull out the win.
Kate Pfeffer went three for five with three runs scored and five RBI, including a three-run home run in the sixth, the first of her college career. Reagan Stofcheck had three hits and two RBI while Becka Peterson had three hits, Jess Gorman two hits and two runs scored and Hanna Floyd two RBI.
Wright State (15-30) closes out the regular season this weekend with a three-game Horizon League series against Cleveland State at the WSU Softball Field. The Raiders and Vikings will play a doubleheader starting at 4:00 on Saturday, followed by a single game on Sunday at 1:00.
